Nadia Ali

Senior Consultant & Idea Labs Founder

Nadia has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings with people from various educational, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Her depth of experience spans program management, coalition building, leadership and workforce development, community outreach, health care reform and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training and consulting.

She is passionate about health and racial equity and her work has primarily centered around increasing access to care in low-income and immigrant populations, creating leadership opportunities for underrepresented minorities, and increasing awareness and dialogue around health and racial equity. In her spare time, Nadia enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking, being outdoors, and building community.

Nadia's academic background includes studies in health policy and management, public health, and Spanish. Nadia is a graduate of New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Rutgers University.

In intentional collaborations, Idea Labs and Mayamotion Healing offer a unique approach to what is known as DEI work. Due to the sensitive and serious nature of JEDI and Racial Justice work, Nadia and Maya Sol use an anti-racist, trauma-informed lens, therapeutic communication techniques and adult learning principles. By way of storytelling and indigenous teachings, our approach will result in a shared understanding amongst participants and will provide a strength-based framework for successful team communication, interconnectedness, and leveraging strengths of individual and team culture to continue to deliver programming within communities.
