THERAPY
Mayamotion Healing offers culturally relevant psychotherapy, serving our BIPOC communities in Colorado, focusing on a holistic approach to well-being for individuals and the collective community. Our clinicians are Bilingual and Bicultural Women of Color who offer individual, couples, adolescent, youth, family, and community therapeutic services.
Our motivation is to encourage you to thrive as your authentic self through innovative and interconnected approaches outside of traditional Western interventions. We aim to address the systemic complexities that impact our mental health and interpersonal and collective wellness.
As a group practice, we specialize in a variety of areas, including what Western psychology has been pathologized as anxiety, depression, and trauma. We recognize that what has commonly been viewed as ‘symptoms’ is wisdom and intelligent ways that the body, mind, and spirit have responded through intergenerational and lived experiences.
We are proud to stay rooted in the cultural humility of lived experiences that center, honor, and celebrate our BIPOC & marginalized folks.

In order to bill or take insurance, the insurance companies require a psychiatric diagnosis to qualify for a treatment to be ‘medically necessary’. As a permanent health record, this diagnosis may have a lifelong impact on youth and adults ranging from school treatment, insurance coverage, and more.
We don’t want an insurance company, that doesn’t know you, to make decisions about our work together, including the length of time, type of therapy, and the use of medications. By not participating in managed care networks, we can offer you the highest degree of privacy, flexibility, and control of your mental health records. There is no loss of privacy to insurance companies or employers.
However, if you wish to utilize insurance for services, we will explore how to do so together. In addition, we can provide a statement upon request for you to submit to your insurance company.
Please carefully review your coverage to find out more information about your mental health benefits and any requirements from your insurance company.
To do this, we will be required to provide a diagnosis for you, and we will discuss this together.
